Introduction: |
|
In today’s era, intelligence and skill are the most required
factor for the work. Men, materials and machinery must be
productive and affordable. India is the developing country.
The entire world focuses on it. Therefore the development is
growing faster with new forthcoming industries, which
expects more infrastructure and skilled workforce. To co-op
up with these demands we need to create the manpower with
the skill. For the same Govt. of Gujarat, Secretariat of
labor Directorate of Training has introduced the new trade
known as: |

The trade is designed for the intensive training to workmen
and equipping them with the required knowledge and skills
construction.
The ministry took steps to provide construction vocational
training and set up CSTC. |
|
|
|
Objectives: |
|
As specified above the main objective is to prepare the
workforce for the world class construction. Also to classify
training requirements, to set standards to monitor
occupational level of competency of the technicians.
To facilitate training by setting up modular training
institutes with well defined infrastructure and curricula.
The trade is designed to serve the social objective of
harnessing the raw power of multitude of Indian youth into a
trained and focused construction workforce of world class
standards. |
|
|
|
Scope: |
|
The structured training will enable both new
entrants and less experienced workers in the
industry progressively improve their skills
level and knowledge competency in the respective
trades.
Definition of both the knowledge and the skill expected to
be attained for each level of competency has been done with
the formulation of construction skill standards for
different trades. In addition, trade tests have been
specified to enable the testing of knowledge and skill. |
